What we do

Training and care, tailored to your dog.

No two dogs are the same, so every program starts with how your dog learns.

Imagine a dog that listens every time. Our boot camp builds real obedience through structure and play, so you can bring your best friend to DQ or Rita's on a hot summer night.

Private Lessons

Walking your dog shouldn't feel like a battle. One lesson teaches you to walk your dog without getting pulled all over the place, and how to get them to sit and relax.

Our approach

The ForceFree Method™

An intuitive training system that makes sense to people and dogs alike. Instead of correction after correction, dogs learn through simple “pack cooperation” and play. They quickly shed rebellious habits and give you more focus than you ever imagined.

  • Off-leash reliability, even with distractions
  • Works with your dog's natural instincts
  • Fast results, without harsh corrections
How dogs really learn

Four things behind every well-trained dog

01

Training

No two dogs learn the same way. Like children, they thrive on firm, fair rules that make learning easy and fun.

02

Making Mistakes

Mistakes are how dogs learn the right way. We stay patient, attentive and more determined than the dog.

03

Sleep

Rest is when the brain makes connections. Ending on a positive note, then resting, sets up a better session next time.

04

Consistency

Consistency and discipline aren't learned from books. Doing it right, every single time, is what makes training stick.

Meet your trainer

Hi, I’m Tim. Friends call me “T.Z.”

Before dog training, I was a cowboy in Wyoming, handling animals up to two thousand pounds gently and safely. Working with herds taught me that animals don’t yell at each other to communicate. There’s a quiet, gentle way that works with them.

After an injury, dog training found me. My second dog was the exact opposite of my first, and nothing I knew worked. So I went to Chicago and Orlando to learn from Marc Goldberg and Martin Deeley, and came home with a gentle method that works with every dog, especially the challenging ones.

What clients say
“We have Teddy back this weekend after two weeks of training. He is a much calmer, more composed version of his lovable doodle self. He has boundaries now and so much more self-control. Before his training, he was a walking impulse. We are amazed at the difference.”

Success stories

Real dogs. Real transformations.

Dimitri, a black and tan Husky, sitting on a hillside4-year-old Husky

Dimitri

Despite his size and muscle, Dimitri was extremely shy around new people, whining and cowering from anyone he didn’t know.

Charlie, a happy black Lab mix, sitting in a kitchenRescue pup

Charlie

After finding his forever home, Charlie’s new family gave him the training his old owners never did, along with a real fresh start.

Taco, a small black and white Chihuahua, standing in grassTiny but mighty

Taco

Taco was the textbook nippy chihuahua, so reactive she could spook much bigger dogs. Sometimes the tiniest are the mightiest.
